BECKY DAWSON-MARBLE
LITERACY SPECIALIST
I've been an educator for over...yikes...30 years! About 15 years ago, I decided to leave the independent school arena to work solely in private practice as a Literacy Specialist. Throughout my career as an elementary teacher, as well as my time as a private school Assistant Director, I've always specialized in reading and writing instruction. Whether it is with a young student who is just emerging into the world of books or a beginning teacher who is looking for a mentor, I am equally inspired. While most Educational Therapists work with kids in a wide range of subjects, I've found my niche with struggling and emerging readers. I've had extensive Orton-Giilingham training and use this tried and true, multi-sensory approach to reading as the foundation of every child's individualized program. I pride myself in keeping my finger on the pulse of every student who comes through our doors. In weekly collaboration with my Associate Teachers, I thoroughly enjoy trouble shooting challenges and celebrating successes! I'm truly blessed to be doing what I love every day with dynamic colleagues, dedicated parents and kids who always manage to teach me how to be better at what I do.

Math and computer science tutor
I am proud to announce that Camryn Marble has joined our team! Camryn graduated Valedictorian from Da Vinci Communications High School in Los Angeles California. She is currently a senior at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, majoring in Computer Science and Pre-Med, with a minor in Computational Science. She is available to tutor upper elementary and middle school students via Zoom. Cami is especially passionate about encouraging and supporting girls who are interested in future careers in the math and science fields and is an advocate for Disability Justice.
